Music from 'Celebrations and Revelations'

Our troubled couple in Chapter 18 aren't a pair of high school kids, but this song seemed fitting for the situation none-the-less.

And ... well, I kinda sorta adore Kenny Chesney. ;)

Visuals from 'Chicago'

Rain showers are quite possibly my favorite thing ever. Well, maybe not my absolutely favorite thing, but they're certainly up there on my list. The spa I go to has them, and on the rare occasions that I can treat myself to a massage, I spend about an hour in the shower after. Lol. Life's simple pleasures, right? For those that haven't seen a rain shower, here you go:

I've never been in a rain shower like the one above, usually they are glass enclosed, but that was the best picture I could find that showed the actual shower head. (Yes, I am a dork. No apologies for that, lol!)

Alice and Mike give Bella quite the travel care package at the beginning of the chapter. Included in that care package: a tickle and whip. I'm not going to get into my reasoning behind picking the items for the vacay kit, but a tickle and whip looks a little something like this:

Here comes the little slice of my own self I imported into this chapter: Chicago's welcoming snowstorm! It just so happened that I took a trip to Chicago this past January with two of my bffs for my birthday. Go figure the day after we arrive, 12.5 inches of snow came falling from the sky. Now, I'm from Minnesota, I consider myself a winter weather champion because not only do we have what I would consider the most variable weather conditions to travel in, but we also get GOBS and GOBS of snow each winter (2010 = the year of three storms with 20+ inches each time). This past winter was an exception, however, and I think by the time we left for Chicago we'd only gotten 9 or less all winter in the Twin Cities metro. Needless to say, 12.5" (which normally isn't a startling number) was ridiculous. Anyone who hasn't had the pleasure of experiencing a midwest winter, take a look for yourself at what happened in Chicago in the winter of 2011:

And Bella wondered why Edward was worried about their car. ;)

Music from 'Chicago'

Train is one of my top five favorite bands, and I fell in love with this song the minute I put their new dic in my CD player.

The meaning behind the song is what caught me and brought this into Hot Commodity territory. The underlying theme in the song seems to be waiting for love. Real love, not the artificial, bullshit kind that pops up at times.

As we all know, Edward is slightly jaded. You'll find out why eventually (I promise!), but he's sort of been sitting around convinced that real love doesn't exist ... Until Bella comes along. Hmmm ... ;)

And, hey! - it's a new year in the story! Perhaps it will be his year?

Enjoy the video! It's pretty fucking awesome, if I do say so myself.
