Visuals from 'Minneapolis'

This chapter was especially fun for me to write, because it was set in my hometown and stomping grounds, Minneapolis. Surprisingly, it wasn't necessarily easy for me to write, especially when trying to think of activities for Bella and Edward to partake in during the winter months.

My good friend and parter-in-crime (ah shit, Joey, there I go sharing our secrets again!), WitchyVampireGirl, suggested during one of our Sunday afternoon writing dates that I have the two sweethearts go to a hockey game. That was fine and dandy, and then I tried to actually write that, and it just didn't work because, well, I haven't been to a hockey game for probably 20 years. Edward's random illness turned their hockey game into a hotel hockey watching fest, and our main man was quite impressed by the fact that his squeeze had a Cullen jersey. Well, Cullen is a real player for the Minnesota Wild, and this would be the jersey in question:

Edward's presentation takes place at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.  I was originally supposed to get my MBA at this school ... and then I came to my senses and realized I'd rather work in social services as a therapist instead. :) This building is without a doubt the most beautiful one on campus though, so I had to share a visual:

I know that there was no mention of St. Paul in here, but I just had to share this next photo. Every year in Minnesota we have the St. Paul Winter Carnival. And up until a few years ago, they would have an ice palace every year or few years at this festival. They haven't done one in several years, but they were always beautiful, and they're one of the memories I have of things I did with my parents when I was a little kid. It's like a winter wonderland come to fruition:

If I didn't hate the Mall of America with such a passion, I probably would have found a picture or two of that to post as well. ;)

Music from 'Minneapolis'

I'm not sure how popular this particular group is, but I fell in love with this song at the beginning of the summer. It seemed to fit well for this chapter, especially since Bella was struggling with finding an opportune moment to share her feelings with Edward.

Enjoy! :)

Hot Commodity Chapter 19 Teaser!

It's not much, but .... I think it'll be enough to keep you curious. And happy? Perhaps? ;)

I leaned back and looked into his eyes. The words I wanted to say danced across my tongue and onto my lips. I wasn’t into fairytales like Alice. I knew there was no such thing as the “perfect time” to profess your feelings to someone. The atmosphere around us – the candles, the music, the look in Edward’s eyes and the feel of his skin on mine – made the moment seem perfect, however.
