Hello again!

I'm still around! I haven't flounced, haven't given up on any of my stories, haven't left the fandom or anything of that nature.

Writer's block can be a real headache at times, and that's what's been keeping me from updating anything. BUT, I've been on a writing spree since this weekend, so I should have something to show for that soon.

Thanks to all those who have stayed around during my dry spell. Your support means more than you'll ever know.

2014 Fandom Choice Awards

Hi all! It's been so long since I've posted on here, but I wanted to express my gratitude for whomever is responsible for my nominations in the 2014 Fandom Choice Awards. Hot Commodity received a few nods, Prosecutions and Pardons received a nod, and I did as well. Things like this mean so much to me, and I will forever be grateful for those who took the time to think of my work when filling out their nomination ballot. :)

I've been doing some updating on here today and linking up chapters and O/S pieces that weren't here yet. I'm trying to get back into the habit of posting things on here regularly now that life seems to have calmed down a bit, so if you're still following, expect to see me around these parts a bit more often. :)

Pulling Some Stories...

Greetings! It's been quite some time, and I sincerely apologize. Real life is kicking my ass in about ten different directions as of late, so my time online to do anything other than write and stalk my girls on Facebook has been scarce.

This is just a bit of an announcement/heads up -- I am going to be pulling two of my fics tomorrow. Endless Night and I Will Remember You are coming down. I haven't updated either fic in over six months, and at this point in time I'm not sure if they'll complete. I feel bad leaving them up, because I don't like to "tease" readers so to speak, and I don't want to get any new readers going and then have them be disappointed to find out the story is just not going to continue.

Real life is ultra busy, and I've just began to work on a very large project involving my original fiction with one of my dear friends. It's a bigger project than I anticipated, and so I'm finding it necessary to devote more of my time to that and less of my time to fan fiction.

Hot Commodity will continue (it's about 3 chapters and 3 epilogues from being complete) and If You Only Knew will as well (I love that story far too much to not tell it). These other two were just easier for me to put up on the chopping block and axe at this point in time.

I'm going to keep the stories up here on my blog, and if I ever do complete an update for either, it'll be posted here. If you subscribe via email you'll find out when that happens. And, if by some chance I happen to drabble around and write and complete one, I'll surely post it again on FFN, TWCS, etc. But, for now they're both going on hiatus.

Thanks for understanding.

Real Locations from Hot Commodity

This past week I had the opportunity to spend a day in New York City, in particular the Manhattan borough. As most of you know, Hot Commodity is set in the Big Apple, and although some of the characters and scenes take place in other boroughs, the majority of the story happens in Manhattan.

I've already visited many of the places that I included in the story, but I decided to take some photos to share with my readers of locations I came across while in the city.

Let's start with Edward's ride. My dear friend (and beta) Chloe Masen likes to give me a hard time for my obsession with Lincoln Town Cars. For the most part that's what I've seen in the city when it comes to personal drivers, etc. Now I'm seeing more Mercedes and Cadillacs as well, but Edward is a Lincoln kinda guy, and this is exactly what his ride would look like:

In chapter three of the story, Bella meets Rose (and Alice later joins them) at a deli they frequent. That deli happens to be the Roxy Delicatessen in Times Square:

In chapter four of the story, Edward runs into Bella at Starbucks, where he buys her drink and makes a peace offering. This Times Square Starbucks location is the one their accidental rendezvous happens at:

Edward and Bella go to dinner at Bond 45 when her two friends are out on dates with their respective men. Jasper and Edward also have a longstanding tradition of doing dinner there every Friday night. This also happens to be a restaurant my ex and I visited about six years ago in NYC. Their food is spectacular and the atmosphere is as well:

Edward's book release party in chapter 14 took place at the Living Room bar at the W Hotel in Times Square. It would have been rather odd to go in the actual hotel to photograph the place, but I did get some pictures of the outside:

Visuals from 'A New Arrangement'

Bella and Mike took a little stroll in Central Park at the start of the chapter. Along the way they enjoyed a cool treat - a bomb pop! I know most people (well, I assume most people) know what this is. But, in the event you haven't heard of one...

Edward's apartment borders Central Park. Imagine what the view would be like...

I saw this painting online and immediately pictured it being a housewarming gift from Esme:

THANK YOU

Hot Commodity won third place in the Best Friendship and Best Quote categories in the 2012 Fandom Choice Awards.

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH to all who voted. I'm so humbled by this, and it means more to me than I can even start to express via a blog post here. The fact that anybody even reads my stories makes me smile. To know that they mean something to some readers and that they're thought highly of by some makes me so happy it's ridiculous.

The love and support I've felt from this fandom is truly amazing. Thanks once again for all of it.
