Chapter 9 – SURPRISES
Bella's POV
I
dropped my bags on the floor and flopped down on my bed. The drive back
to Seattle had exhausted me. Thankfully, Edward was understanding and
agreed to give me a few hours of alone time to rest. I was relieved when
I found the dorm empty.
I was trying – unsuccessfully – to wrap
my head around everything that happened over winter break.
When we left
school a month ago I had no idea things would take a turn in the
direction they did. I expected to spend the majority of my time shopping
in Port Angeles with Alice or shacked up somewhere with Jake. Alice and
I had done our fair share of shopping, and Jake and I had hooked up on a
few occasions, but then New Years happened and all of a sudden Edward
and I were together and everything felt so right and seemed so perfect.
Until today, when he decided to spring all this vampire shit on me.
Vampire.
My boyfriend is a vampire.
Okay.
Vampire.
Edward... is... a... vampire.
Well...
I...
Holy...
Shit.
MY BOYFRIEND IS A VAMPIRE!
WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?
Seriously... WHAT. THE. FUCK?
Calm down, Bella...
Breathe.
Just.
Breathe.
Okay...
I...
Calm down? CALM DOWN?
BUT MY BOYFRIEND IS A VAMPIRE!
A non-sleeping, non-aging, non-warm, bloodsucking - though he says he's not - blood is a pretty integral part of his being...VAMPIRE!
What
the hell am I supposed to do with that? I HAVE BLOOD! HE LIKES BLOOD!
HE NEEDS
BLOOD! AND I HAVE IT! HE COULD GET THIRSTY AND DRAIN ME DRY!
But he wouldn't...
BUT HE COULD!
Oh, Edward... what the fuck am I supposed to do?
Two hours later….
I knew I shouldn't be too upset
with him. It was I, after all, who kept pushing for him to tell me
about his past and his relationship with Tanya. I couldn't help myself
though. If we were going to work as a couple moving forward, I needed to
know what he was leaving behind and what, if anything, might come back
to haunt him. Truth be told I was scared shitless of Tanya and the fact
that she hadn't gotten angry when Edward told her about us only
intensified my fears. To find out that she was a vampire left me
wondering if I shouldn't just lock myself in my dorm for the remainder
of the semester.
Then there was Edward. I'd done my best to brush
everything he told me off like it was no big deal, when it fact it was a
huge deal. I didn't want to hurt his feelings, but I was a bit freaked
out by his revelation. Sure, I'd read books about vampires, I'd seen
movies about them, I'd even dressed up as one for Halloween a few times
when I was younger, but to think that they actually existed outside the
realm of fiction … It was almost too much for me to handle. I kept
myself together as long as I could on our drive, but now I was having a
complete emotional meltdown and I had no idea what to do.
I liked Edward. I liked him a lot.
I might even love him, which did nothing to lessen my apprehensions.
I'd waited this long for my chance to be with him and I didn't want to
give up on things before we even had the opportunity to get them
started. At the same time I couldn't help but be concerned for my own
safety. Just because Edward and his "family" didn't intentionally
slaughter human beings and have them for dinner, they still indulged in
human blood and there would always be that risk that one day the
temptation would be too great and I would be a goner. I shuddered at the
thought of it. It would certainly make for an interesting epitaph, I thought bitterly.
Furthermore,
if things did work for us, and we were to say, get married sometime in
the future, how the hell was I supposed to explain his lack of aging to
my family? It was one thing to have a youthful appearance, but it was
another to show up to a family gathering thirty years down the road with
him not looking a day over twenty. I suppose I could ask him about the
possibility of becoming a vampire myself, to save us a lot of hassle,
but honestly, that's not the life I wanted. I liked living and breathing
and having a beating heart and the capability to blush on command.
Hell, I didn't even mind the stupid nuisances that came with it like
having to use the bathroom and having to work out so I didn't get
blessed with the curse of the "freshman fifteen." No, no, I'd never ask
about someone changing me. In fact, I made a vow to myself to never even
bring the subject up.
I curled up on my side and hugged my knees
to my chest, closing my eyes and trying to relax. What the hell was I
supposed to say when Alice got back? Did he even tell her that I knew
everything? I couldn't imagine he wouldn't, because he had to know I'd
say something to her eventually. Alice was my best friend and now there
was this little piece of anxiety that would linger in the air knowing
what she was.
I was freaking the fuck out and I didn't know what
to do. I couldn't exactly call Jake or Charlie and ask for advice. What
was I supposed to say? "Hey, my boyfriend just told me he's a vampire,
what do you think I should do?" Yeah, that would go over wonderfully.
"Bella?"
Alice shut the door gently and sat on the edge of my bed. I hadn't
turned any lights on, so I assumed she thought I was asleep. You could fake it and deal with all this later, I thought. I didn't want to do that though. I needed someone to give me some reassurance.
I
rolled over and sat up, pulling my knees to my chest and resting my
chin on them. "Did Edward talk to you?" She curled her legs beneath her
so she was sitting Indian style and shrugged off her coat.
"He
called me as soon as he dropped you off." I could tell she was nervous
too. "He said you were okay with everything, but you don't look okay
right now, Bella."
I covered my face with my hands and shook my
head. "Of course I told him I was okay with everything. I didn't want to
hurt his feelings." I looked up at Alice and saw nothing but concern on
her face.
"It wouldn't hurt his feelings if you told him the
truth, Bella. He knows what he is. What we all are."
She reached out and
smoothed my hair. "If you can't be with him because you aren't
comfortable with the situation, he'll let you go freely. He only wants
what makes you happy. Edward would never do anything to hurt you
intentionally."
"I do want to be with him, Alice. I've
never wanted to be with anyone more in my life than I want to be with
your brother." I wiped back a few traitorous tears that made their way
down my cheeks.
"But really, how am I supposed to react to this news? He
explained everything to me – the blood, the skin color, the eye color,
the body temperature, I know about all of it. I'm just having trouble
wrapping my mind around it, Alice. I have so many questions and I don't
know if I can ask Edward."
Alice sat up on her knees and rested
her hands on her thighs. "What do you want to know, Bella? I know Edward
is my brother, and I know I'm a part of the vampire gang too, but you
can trust me. I'll be honest with you, I promise."
Her expression
was one of pure honesty. I took a deep breath and thought about how to
word my question. "What if there comes a time when the only blood Edward
has access to is mine? What if he can't control his natural yearnings
when he's with me? He said he's never dated a human before, so how is he
so sure he can do this?"
"Edward has years of experience
resisting the temptations. All of us do. We've been members of human
society our entire lives." Alice leaned back on her elbows and got
comfortable. I stretched my legs out in front of me, doing the same
thing. "Besides that, he would never put himself or you in a situation
where that could possibly happen. Edward is absurdly concerned with your
safety, especially after this whole Tanya thing. He would never let you
get within an arm's length of something harmful."
"So what
happens if things work out between us and this ends up being something
long-term? How do I explain his appearance to my family? I'll be growing
old and gray while my husband stays young and attractive."
The
corners of Alice's lips lifted in a small smile. "I can't give you a
creative answer for that one. All
I can say is that you'll handle it
together, as a couple, when the time is right. Maybe you'll end up
somewhere far away from here where you don't have to see your family all
the time. Who knows, Bella? The future is such a vast thing."
"Great,
so I can spend the rest of my life looking like a cougar." I couldn't
help but laugh at my own lame remark. "Really though, Alice, I don't
know if I can do this. I'm so scared of Tanya and scared of the
possibility of my getting hurt and of what people will think."
Alice
scooted over and put her arm around me. I leaned my head against her
shoulder. "Tanya is certainly an issue. Her reaction was nothing like
any of us expected, and that alone is cause enough for worry. But Bella,
you have to remember that Edward knows Tanya better than any of us.
He'll always be one step ahead of the game when it comes to her. If he
suspected she was planning anything – even the smallest vengeful act –
he'd do everything in his power to make sure you were protected. Our
family wouldn't hesitate to help. You're like a sister to Rose and I,
Bella."
I let out a small sob as the reality of the situation hit
me. Edward cared immensely about me and I him. My safety really was his
top priority, and knowing that alone put my fears about him harming me
to rest. I was still uneasy about Tanya, but we'd cross that bridge –
and the bridge with my family – when we got there, if we ever did. Alice
hugged me tightly and I hugged her back. She stood up smiled down at
me.
"You can always come to me for anything, you know that right?"
I nodded. "Thank you Alice. I was really starting to go crazy before you got here."
"That's
what friends are for." She checked her watch and began rifling through
her closet. "Now, dry your eyes and pick out something to wear. We're
going on a double date."
I groaned. "I really don't want to go out. I just want to relax and go to bed early."
"Bella
Swan, you've been trying to get with my brother for months. Everything
finally worked out and I'll be damned if we aren't going out to
celebrate." She threw a black cashmere sweater at me and stomped her
foot. "Now put this on, along with those new skinny jeans you got
yesterday, and fix your face. The guys will be here to pick us up any
minute."
I wanted to say no, but Alice's enthusiasm was
infectious. I got ready and followed her downstairs.
Edward was leaning
against the side of Jasper's car with the rear door open. His face lit
up as soon as he saw me. I walked into his open arms and embraced him
tightly. He kissed my cheek and brought his mouth to my ear.
"You
look amazing," he whispered. A shiver ran down my spine and I felt
myself blush. I slid across the backseat and he climbed in next to me.
He grabbed my hand in his and squeezed it gently. I smiled and sighed
contentedly.
Danger or not, this man was my life now.
Edward's POV
I
didn't have much experience when it came to planning special occasions.
Bella's birthday was approaching quickly and I was determined to do
something that she would remember. Of course I had no idea where to
begin, and as a result I'd spent the past hour surfing the net
aimlessly.
I'd thought about calling Alice, but decided against
it. She was a pro at planning cheesy things like this, but she also had a
huge mouth, and keeping secrets wasn't one of her strong points. I
didn't want to plan something elaborate only to have her tell Bella
about it the day before it was scheduled to happen.
I pulled up
Google and typed a few words in. My computer screen was flooded with
links directing me to pages that contained information on planning a
memorable date in Seattle, but nothing jived with me. I knew that Bella
wasn't expecting anything extravagant, but that didn't mean I wanted to
give her anything less.
I closed my laptop and leaned back in the
chair. I was staring blankly at the ceiling when the idea hit me. I
grabbed my cell off the desk and dialed Emmett's number.
"What's up man?" he belted out his standard greeting.
"Do you and Rose have any plans this coming weekend?" I crossed my fingers and hoped they did.
"Mom
and Dad are coming to Seattle for the weekend, so they're staying at
our place. I was going to call you tomorrow and let you know. Mom wants
you and Bella to come out for dinner with us on Friday." I gave a silent
fist pump and stood up.
"That shouldn't be a problem," I told
him. "Do you think you could convince Alice and Jasper to stay at your
place on Saturday night too? It's Bella's birthday and I want to do
something special for her, but I need the dorm to myself and I don't
want to say anything to Jasper because then he might tell Alice and I
know she'll tell Bella."
I could almost hear the smirk spreading across Emmett's face. "A little birthday nookie session planned bro?"
I shook my head and chuckled. "No, nothing of the sort, but I would like some privacy for what I do have planned."
"I don't think that'll be a problem. I'll call Alice tonight and ask her if they can stay here."
"Thank you so much! I owe you one!" I flipped my laptop back open and punched a few more things into Google.
"Just
do me a favor and don't fuck it up with this girl. She's a keeper,
Eddie boy." I could hear Rose in the background and Emmett laughed a
little. "I've gotta go. I think my girl just might want a little Tuesday night nookie."
"Thanks
for sharing that tidbit. I'll see you Friday." I clicked the phone off
and tossed it on my bed. I grabbed a notebook and jotted down a list of
all the things I'd need to get from the store before throwing my coat on
and heading out.
My plan to give Bella the perfect birthday was officially in action.
Bella's POV
I
checked my reflection one last time in the mirror before joining the
rest of the Cullen family in Emmett and Rosalie's living room. Edward
slipped his arm around my waist and pulled me close to him, planting a
kiss on the top of my head.
"You're lovely," he whispered, sending chills down my spine. I looked up at him and smiled and he squeezed me closer to him.
"Let's
get this show on the road, shall we?" Emmett twirled the keys to the
family Escalade around his finger and opened the apartment door. The car
ride to the restaurant was filled with pleasant chatter and laughter. I
was amazed by how wonderful it felt to be with the Cullens. I'd spent
so much of my time as an only child with a single mom that I never
realized how much I longed to be part of a large family. Even though the
Cullens weren't technically related, their bonds were just as strong,
if not stronger, than that of any biological family I knew, my own
included.
"It's so nice to have you here with us, Bella!" Esme smiled warmly at me. "I don't think I've ever seen Edward so happy."
I
blushed and looked down at my salad. "I'm sure Edward has a hundred
different things to be happy about right now. Surely I can't take credit
for all of it." He squeezed my hand beneath the table.
"I'm going
to have to agree with Esme on this one, Bella." Alice looked back and
fourth between Edward and I. "I don't think I've ever seen his eyes
shine the way they do when you're in the room,
or seen him smile at
anyone like he does at you."
Edward leaned down until his lips
were just centimeters from my ear. "They're right, you know." I could
feel myself grinning like an idiot.
Carlisle stepped in, sensing
my discomfort with the topic of conversation. "Have you decided on a
major yet, Bella? I don't think I've ever asked you as many times as
we've had you in our company."
"I'm leaning towards advertising
and communication studies," I told him. I speared a pile of greens and
popped them in my mouth, chewing slowly.
"That sounds like a
wonderful choice, dear!" Esme smiled warmly at me. "I can see you owning
your own firm someday, you have the perfect personality for it! Are you
hoping to stay in the Seattle area after college, or were you thinking
of relocating?"
The questions were making me uncomfortable,
especially with Edward sitting right there next to me.
I couldn't see
myself staying in Seattle forever, but I didn't know where I'd want to
settle either. "I'm not sure to be honest. I haven't put too much
thought into where I'll be going after graduation. I'm trying to take
this whole college experience one day at a time."
"That's the way
to do it, Bella. Savor the experience, it only comes around once."
Carlisle raised his glass and smiled at me. "I'd like to propose a
toast. To Edward and Bella's new relationship, and to taking life one
day at a time." Carlisle winked at me as we all clanked our glasses.
"I
don't know if Edward has mentioned this to you or not Bella, but our
family is going to be taking a trip to Europe over spring break." Esme
set her wine glass down and leaned forward. "We're planning on spending
the week in Italy. Carlisle and I would love it if you would join us for
the trip. We'd take care of your expenses, of course."
I
swallowed uncomfortably and looked down at my napkin. I'd always wanted
to go to Europe, Italy especially, but Renee had been too wrapped up in
her new marriage to even think about taking a trip like that with me.
Pictures of Edward and I taking a gondola ride through the canals of
Venice flashed through my head, and I couldn't help but smile. At the
same time, however, I couldn't fathom letting the Cullens spend that
much money on me.
"Thank you so much for the offer, Esme. I need to think about it though, and talk to my parents."
"Of course, dear. Just promise me you will think about it."
"Absolutely." I felt Edward squeeze my hand beneath the table again and I relaxed instantly.
The
rest of dinner was casual and comfortable and seemed to pass all too
quickly. Before I knew it, Edward and I were in his car on our way back
to campus.
"Don't feel pressured about Italy," he said softly.
"I'd love for you to be there and I know my family would love it too,
but I understand if it's too much too soon."
"It's not that,
Edward." I studied my fingernails, picking lazily at the peeling polish.
"I'd love to spend time with you and your family in Europe. But I want
to be able to do it on my own dime. I want it to be something that I can
say I did on my own, ya know? I don't feel comfortable taking your
parents' money like that."
Edward laughed and entwined the fingers
of his free hand with mine. "You wouldn't be taking their money, Bella.
They've done this every year for as long as I can imagine, and every
year we've been able to bring friends or acquaintances with and they've
covered it. Please don't feel like you'd be abusing anything."
"Thank
you." I pulled our hands to my mouth and kissed his knuckles softly.
"I'll think about it, I promise. I really do need to talk to Charlie and
make sure he doesn't have anything planned too."
"Fair enough."
Edward pulled the car to a stop in front of my dorm and turned to face
me. "I have a surprise planned for you tomorrow."
My birthday,
I thought to myself. I secretly hoped Alice didn't have anything to do
with this surprise.
That might be a bit too much for me to handle.
He leaned over and kissed my cheek. "I'll pick you up at six."
"I'll see you tomorrow." I watched him drive off, wondering what this beautiful man had in store for me.
Edward's POV
At
six o'clock sharp I knocked softly on Bella's door. I was holding a
single white rose with a small teddy bear and one of those cheesy "Happy
Birthday" balloons on a white plastic stick. There were more gifts, and
Bella would see those later tonight, but for now I wanted to start the
evening off with something cute and simple.
She answered the door a
moment later and the sight of her took my breath away. She was wearing a
royal blue dress that hugged her curves and ended a few inches above
her knees. The boat neck exposed the top of her shoulders and the long
sleeves clung to her slender yet toned arms. She had a pair of ballerina
flats on, and her hair was pulled up in sexy waves on the top of her
head. She smiled shyly at me, blushing when she saw the gift in my
hands.
"Happy birthday, beautiful." I stepped forward and kissed
her lips softly, handing her the bear and
the rose. She put the rose in a
glass of water on her desk and set the bear down on her bed.
"Thank
you." I reached out and grabbed her hand, holding onto it while she
locked the door. "You still haven't told me what we're doing tonight."
"It's
a surprise." I held the passenger door to my car open, closing it after
she settled in. I took my spot in the drivers seat and pulled away from
the curb, entwining the fingers of my free hand with hers. It was
foolish to drive across campus when I could have walked, but winter was
starting to rear it's ugly head and I didn't want her to catch a cold.
"Nobody's ever surprised me on my birthday," she whispered softly. I squeezed her hand and looked over at her.
"Then
let this be a night of firsts, baby. Our first night celebrating an
official Edward and Bella holiday and your first night being surprised
for your birthday." I parked the car and got out, opening the door for
her. I led her inside my dorm and through the maze of hallways to my
room. "Close your eyes."
She did as I asked and I placed my hands
on her shoulders and steered her inside, closing the door behind us. I
pulled a lighter out of my pocket and got to work, lighting the candles
I'd spread around.
I took her hand and led her to the center of the
room, pushing her down gently until she was seated at my makeshift
table. I sat down across from her and took a deep breath. "Okay, open
them."
She blinked several times, allowing her eyes to adjust to
the change in light. Her mouth fell open and she looked around the room.
When her gaze met mine, I could see tears in her eyes.
"Edward,
this is amazing! How did you even think of this?" Her voice was heavy
with emotion. I reached across the table and took her hand in mine,
rubbing small circles over her knuckles with my thumb.
"I knew you
didn't want anything too extraordinary, but I still wanted this night
to be special for you. The idea came to me earlier this week and I knew
it would be perfect." I began to dish up our food.
"I hope you like
Thai."
"I love Thai." The words came out in a breathy whisper. "Thank you so much, Edward. This is beyond special."
I
marveled at how little it took to impress her. With Tanya, everything
was about price tags and labels and guest lists. There was nothing that
was good enough for her and I hated that. "This is just
the beginning of
our evening, sweetheart. There's more in store for you after dinner."
She blushed and took a bite of her spring roll.
We ate in silence,
but it was more comfortable than any conversation could have been. I
couldn't stop looking at her, noticing the way a few stray strands of
hair had fallen down and grazed her shoulder.
Her brown eyes twinkled
with what could only have been happiness, and in that moment I realized
just how much I loved her.
I'd been with Tanya for years before
even meeting Bella and my feelings for her weren't even a tenth as
strong as what I felt for Bella.
"I think if I eat another bite
I'm going to explode." Bella set her fork down on the table and rubbed
her stomach. I stood up, cleared away the takeout containers, and walked
behind her, wrapping my arms around her shoulders and kissing her
softly on the cheek.
"Do you trust me?" I whispered in her ear.
She nodded, breathing heavily. "Stand up." She stood and spun around to
face me. Her cheeks were flushed a semi-bright rose color and her pupils
were dilated. I leaned forward and pressed my lips against hers,
allowing my tongue to slip into her mouth for the briefest of moments
before I pulled away. I wanted nothing more than to take her right there
on the floor of my dorm, but tonight wasn't the night for that. Tonight
was all about her.
"I'm going to undress you," I told her. She
looked nervous, but turned slowly, allowing me access to the zipper on
the back of her dress. I grabbed it and tugged it down, watching as inch
by inch of her creamy white skin was exposed. I slid the dress down her
arms, pulling at each sleeve, exposing her naked torso. Her breasts
were beautiful, perfect and round, and her small pink nipples were
hardened with arousal. I hooked my fingers in the fabric of her dress
and continued to push it down until it fell to the floor in a pool of
blue. I gulped back my own anticipation and nervousness as I stared at
her standing before me. Her small black thong left little to my
imagination.
"You are so beautiful." Her cheeks flamed red and she
tried to drop her head, but I tucked my thumb under her chin before she
had a chance. I ran my fingertips down her arm, grabbing her hand and
leading her towards my bed. I opened the drawer on my nightstand and
pulled out a silk sleeping mask, handing it to her. "Put this on for me.
It will heighten the rest of your senses." She looked at it for a
moment before slipping it over her head.
"Edward…" Her words
trailed off as I covered her mouth with a deep, passionate kiss. I
turned her to face the bed and trailed small, chaste kisses across her
shoulder blades.
"Lay down on your stomach for me, baby." She did
as I asked, resting her head on my pillow and placing her arms at her
sides. I walked across the room and grabbed the bottle of lavender
scented massage oil I'd picked up at the store a few days earlier. I
placed it in my microwave and warmed it up for a few seconds before
making my way back to the bed. I nudged Bella's legs open with my own
and climbed on the bed so I was kneeling between them.
"What are
you doing, Edward?" Her voice was slightly raspy. I glanced down between
her legs and could see her folds glistening with moisture already. I
took a deep breath and drizzled some of the oil along her spine.
"I'm
pampering you for the evening, love. Consider this a night of nothing
but pleasure for you." I ran my hands up her back, spreading the oil
around and working it into her skin. I curled my fingers
around her
shoulders, squeezing and massaging gently, eliciting a sigh from her.
"That
feels so good," she moaned into the pillow. I continued massaging,
working my fingers in light circles up and down her shoulder blades and
across her lower back. I massaged each of her arms, drizzling more of
the sweet smelling oil across them and working her muscles and relaxing
her further. After I'd massaged every inch of her skin I bent down and
brushed my lips against her cheek.
"Roll over baby." I pulled
softly on her shoulder and she did as I asked. Her head rolled back into
the pillow and a smile spread across her face. My eyes swept over her
naked body once again, and I climbed on the bed and straddled her. I
drizzled a trail of massage oil from the bottom of her neck to her navel
and began softly kneading her skin. I ran my palm across her breasts
and felt her nipples harden more beneath my touch. I leaned down and
gently took one in my mouth, sucking on it lightly while my hands
massaged up and down the sides of her stomach. Her back arched up off
the bed and she ran her fingers through my hair.
"Mmmm, Edward,"
she moaned. I smiled and focused my attention on her other breast,
swirling my tongue around her nipple and nipping on it gently. I slid
lower on the bed, kneeling between her legs once again as I massaged oil
into her thighs and calves. When I finished, I stood up and grabbed her
ankles, pulling her gently to the end of the bed. She moved to take the
sleeping mask off but I reached up and took her wrist in my hand.
"There's
one more part to this birthday present, beautiful." I knelt before her
and pushed her legs open. I hooked my fingers in the straps of her thong
and slid it off tossing it on the floor next to me.
"Guess it's a
good thing I waxed a few days ago," she joked, giggling nervously. I
ran my fingers up and down her thighs, willing her to relax. Her slick
folds were sheathed in desire and her clit was already swollen. I leaned
forward, running my tip of my nose along the crevice between her thigh
and her sweet spot, breathing in her scent and letting it wash over me.
"God,
you smell so good Bella." I circled her clit several times with my
finger. A soft moan fell from her lips and she tried to trap my head
with her thighs. I pulled her legs up over my shoulders and kissed her
clit softly. "I can't wait to see what you taste like."
She
tangled her fingers in my hair, pulling my face to her. I dipped my
tongue in her folds, licking away the juices that were already pooled
there. I pulled away and spread her with my fingers, laying my tongue
flat against her slit and licking straight up, nipping her clit gently.
"Oh
God, Edward." Her fingers tightened in my hair and her back arched
again. "Please …. More."
I indulged her, taking her clit in my mouth and
sucking on it gently. I swirled my tongue around her swollen nub,
enjoying how her body felt beneath me.
I leaned back and blew on
her clit, causing her to shudder against me. I slid one finger into her
slowly, working it around as her muscles squeezed lightly against me. I
took her clit into my mouth again, sucking harder this time and grazing
the sensitive flesh with my teeth. I could feel her thighs trembling
against my shoulders and I knew it wouldn't take much to push her over
the edge.
"Mmmm," I moaned against her. The vibrations made her
shudder even more, and I slid a second finger into her, curling upwards
until I could feel the bundle of nerves inside of her.
"There!
Right there, yes." She balled my sheets up in her fists and arched her
back again. I continued massaging her g-spot and looked up at her.
"Take
the blindfold off. I want you to watch me make you come." One hand
broke free from the bed sheets and pulled the mask off. She propped
herself up on her elbows and looked down at me. Her eyes were glazed
with lust and her forehead was covered in a thin layer of sweat. I
pushed my fingers deep inside of her and curled them upwards slowly
while flicking my tongue across her clit.
"Happy birthday, baby," I
said against her. I took her clit in my mouth and sucked hard on it,
pumping my fingers into her at a fast pace. I could feel her inner
muscles starting to clench down on me and I knew she was getting close. I
bit her clit gently, sending her over the edge.
"Edward, oh my
GOD!" Her hands were in my hair again and she was tugging at it
violently. I could feel her juices flowing around my fingers and I
continued sucking greedily on her clit while she rode out her orgasm.
"Fuck,"
she moaned, falling back on the mattress and grabbing at the sheets
again. I eased my fingers out of her and spread her open again, licking
her once more before crawling onto the bed next to her.
Her eyes were
closed, her hair was fanned out across the sheets, and her breathing was
heavy.
I leaned down and pressed my lips against hers gently,
poking my tongue against her lips. She opened her mouth greedily,
tasting her own juices as her tongue danced with mine. I leaned back and
pulled her against me so her head was resting on my chest. She wrapped
her arm around me and breathed a sigh of contentment.
"That was the best birthday present a girl could ask for."
I kissed her temple and rested my chin against the top of her head.
Bella would always be my happy place.
Tanya's POV
I
gaped at Edward's door, disgust filling me. If I could vomit I knew I
would, especially after hearing what I just did from behind the closed
door.
Edward had made me wait forever before he even let me touch
him. This bitch hadn't even been with him for a whole month and he was
already giving in to her. And giving her quite a bit of pleasure, from the way it sounded, I thought bitterly.
I
climbed into my car and grabbed my cell phone off the passenger seat. I
needed to get close to
Bella, as close as I possibly could, and I knew
the Cullens would never be of any help with that.
"Hello?" I recognized his voice immediately, even though I'd only seen him a handful of times.
"Jacob? Hi, this is Tanya. We met at the Cullen's Thanksgiving party a few months back…"
